About Jiang Nan Noodle House

This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Farmington Hills; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Michigan are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The noodle is obviously handmade, but felt a little bit uncooked. It could have been quite better if it was boiled a couple of minutes more I guess because the sauce was very tasty. The diner was clean and quiet.

Edit: This isnt a "taste preference" you served us subpar, flavorless, burnt food. Got two entrees and two appetizers for takeout. We ordered C14 dan dan lamian and C12 szechuan lamian which are supposed to be with sauce. Sauce is supposed to be thicker than broth but both of the "sauces" we got were watery and flavorless. I would have been ok with getting soup broth if it at least tasted good. One dish also did not have the noodle type we asked for and our dumplings were burnt. It was disappointing to spend $46 on this before tipping. I know the food is normally better than this because I've had good food when I dined in.

Love this place, they have hand pulled noodles and you can pick what type of noodles you would like with your dish! The noodles are very chewy and bouncy, exactly how they should be! Food has lots of flavor and spice, the noodles coat very well in the sauce! can’t wait to go back.

You can choose thickness of the noodles, which not many places in Michigan have that. You can see from the window they hand pulled the noodles! The tan tan noodle soup base was so good.

I was looking for a tasty noodle spot for lunch not too far from home and I found it ! The service was so so but the food was great. I got the c.12 Szechuan La Mian with chicken and thick noodles. For the appetizers we had the pork dumplings and the potato scallions .. both very delicious. I’ll definitely be back
